DTI Appoints Sales Director and Launches New Corporate Brand to Drive Strategic Growth.

Downhole technology specialist, DTI, has appointed a new sales director and launched a fresh corporate brand to empower its strategic growth and diversification plans.

Graeme Fyfe assumed the newly created senior position at DTI this month (April), bringing with him over two decades of sales and management experience. Based at the company’s Aberdeen office, Graeme will lead global business growth and work with key clients, expanding the application of DTI’s well production, intervention, integrity and decom technology and promote the DTI brand to a cross-sector energy market.

Graeme joins DTI from his most recent role as Business Development Director at Baker Hughes, where he worked for around ten years, successfully growing the company’s provision of technology and services. Here, Graeme was responsible for a portfolio of drilling technology then, more recently, their conventional and retrievable electrical submersible pump solutions, delivering to oil and gas and geothermal clients across Europe, the Caspian and Sub-Saharan Africa. Graeme currently sits on the ICoTA Europe Well Intervention Committee, the SPE European Artificial Lift Forum (EuALF) Committee and is a Member of the Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) Wells Forum.

Alongside Graeme’s appointment, DTI has launched a new corporate brand marque to support its growth strategy. The brand has been designed to better reflect the company’s offering and position it effectively in a cross-sector wells market, encompassing onshore and offshore oil and gas, gas storage, hydrogen, CCUS and geothermal. The visual identity is rooted in precision, strength and engineering while demonstrating qualities of adaptability, scalability and problem-solving.

DTI has already succeeded in cross-sector technology transfer and last year supported a large-scale, green hydrogen storage project in France. The project repurposed gas storage salt caverns and gas injector wells for hydrogen. DTI developed one of its existing patented technologies to provide a new bi-directional annular safety valve suitable for hydrogen injection and production, with high pressure and flow rates, which was successfully deployed and operated in the trial.

Graeme said: “DTI is a dynamic design and manufacturing business with an impressive portfolio of unique technology to solve a range of complex challenges. The innovative products are what initially attracted me to the company, along with its UK manufacturing capability, which sets the business apart, and I relish the opportunity to deliver these solutions to a wider network of operators.
